I'm in Tampa Florida
Hi Ryansmom
My son had a mscore of 253 and I was told he would get 11,000.00 just recently I have found out that it has changed to a 251 which is about 5000.

I've never seen this before on an IEP. Any one from California seen a score? I will have to go home and look it over!Lynn....what state are you in?. I am in FloridaI'm in Tampa too. I did not notice that on their IEP, or may just not have known what it was.I think it is only given when the do the transition in school and again at reeval's. Ryan hasn't had a updated score since he was 3yrs. I have been told you can ask your childs teacher what their "Matrix" score is and they should tell you. What it won't tell you is how much they are paying out for your child. I still haven't found that out yet.
I am in Texas-never heard of it either.

Here in florida it is called a matrix score it can be either a 251,252,253,254 or 255. Each # represents how much money the state is paying for your child's education.
I guess every state is different
You also always be able to find out the $$, the school won't tell you but someone from the county/state should. I found out mine after I applied for the McKay.
I stumbled across this (re "Matrix of Services") and thought I'd share it for those who are interested and have time for more reading.
