I thought it was very good and he wasn't afraid to mention the link between the vacinations and autism but he did try to cover alot of info and didn't get much time in for the guests to make their points.
I hope that he keeps his promise to do several more shows because he can stress different aspects better. He did mention the rider in the homeland security act that prevents parents from being allowed to sue the drug manufactors. He also had a senitor who is trying to get a bill through to get the remaining mercury out of vacines immeditaly.
Does anyone know what vacines have mercury now? I am scared to death to get brodey's 15 and 18 month shots and he is already 18 months. Takoda regressed so much from 6 mo. to 2 years and I don't know if the shots contributed or not but I don't want to take any chances with Brodey.

Nelle you have to ASK THE DR for shots WITHOUT THIMEROSAL
For Example.... they make flu vaccines with thimerosal AND without thimerosal..... wihout costs about more.

AUTISM...CAN IT BE PREVENTED?

Heredity, or genetics, is considered one of the main causes for the disease, however no specific gene has been linked to autism. Today, we'll meet parents of autistic children who say there's another cause that has been kept in the dark: mercury. Since the 1920s, a small percentage of mercury has been added to vaccines as a preservative. In the 80s and 90s, the number of vaccines given to babies and children has increased - so has the number of children diagnosed with autism. We'll meet Lyn and Tommy, two parents who agree with this theory. Their son, who has autism, became very sick when he was 15 months old. After a year of struggling health, he began to detach from the world and eventually stopped talking. Lyn says that her son received 62.5 micrograms of mercury from all his vaccines - well above the 5 micrograms that was considered to be toxic for a child his age and size. Their story is reviewed in a new book called, "Evidence of Harm" which studies the possible link between mercury and autism. We'll speak with the author of this book, along with Congressman Dave Weldon, and the chief science officer of the National Alliance for Autism Research about this possible link. Recently, mercury has been slowly and quietly removed from many of the vaccines being given to children. So the question remains - will the removal of mercury from vaccines reduce the rate of autism in America?

From DC back to your hometown!
For the next couple of weeks, we are going to help guide you on how to bring the public awareness campaign back home to your neck of the woods. Over the last couple of weeks, the White House and Congress have heard from you and how much you care about getting mercury preservatives (thimerosal) out of vaccines. Now it is time to return to the grass roots!
Tomorrow (Tuesday, June 21), millions of Americans will have a special opportunity to learn more about the dangers of mercury preservatives in vaccines when ABC-TV broadcasts "The Montel Williams" show featuring Lyn Redwood, President of Safe MINDS, and author David Kirby, Evidence of Harm, among others. This is very exciting and we are so proud of them and everyone connected with getting this show on the air! The show will be seen on ABC affliates nationwide. Check your local listings for the time.
HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO:
1. AFTER THE SHOW AIRS TOMORROW (6/21/05), contact the health reporter for the ABC affiliate in your area AND/OR the executive producer for the station. Let them know that for two weeks you have been making calls to the White House and to your Congressman because you want mercury out of flu vaccine and other vaccines given to children and pregnant women. If your child has been hurt by mercury in vaccines, tell them your story.
2. Direct them to http://www.nvic.org to get a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet you faxed to the White House and Congress that details the dangers of thimerosal. Tell them about Evidence of Harm and the Rolling Stones magazine article written by Robert Kennedy, Jr. that came out last week. Let them know about the Giving Mercury to Children on Purpose is Stupid campaign and how you are working to spread that effort in your community/intend to spread that effort in your community. Remember that even if you haven't placed an ad yet that this campaign can go forward with flyers, neighborhood walks, church bulletins or publications that accept free advertising.
3. If they ask you questions about thimerosal or vaccines you do not feel comfortable answering, tell them to call the National Vaccine Information Center at 703-928-0342 to get background on the vaccine risk issue.
Media has to build on itself to build a story. If 300 affiliates nationwide run stories over the next couple of weeks on this issue, how great would that be! That a family in Minneapolis, MN or Jackson, MS is working to help make things safer for all children by working in their local community to help children across the country at the same time????
The next couple of weeks we will be helping you find ways to organize at a grass roots level in your community, with ideas on how you can effectively spread the message.

is this one of the normal Montel shows or a special he did for ABC??YAY! This show aired again in my city a couple days ago and I saw it! It was very intersting! I was just glad I finally caught some special on tv about autism as I always seem to miss it because I'm working or something. LOL.
