How does this sound?? | Autism PDD

I decided that I need to write another letter asking for the school to have the Behaviorist to come out to observe for the week like they are spose too. Here is my question. How do I write the letter with out being a cow about it. I mean they had this lady come out for 1 hr to observe and 1hour for our meeting. So I wanted her to come out for the full week like they are spose to.My daughter is still having behavior problems and they have a positive behavior plan but they are working off the behaviorist report which is jeneric because she couldnt observe for the full time like they usually do and thats what I want. HELP I dont know really now how to write these letters and to get want I want for her. I basicly want this lady to come out to see if she really has a fighting chance to be in a regular class or she really needs to be in special ed the whole time.

In the past couple of weeks I have notice that Kayley’s behavior in Mrs. ***** class has not improved and quiet time is not working. We did have Dr. ***** come out to observe Kayley for the time she was given and listening to her at the reevaluation meeting is that her report is generic due to the limited time she had. She could not do a proper assessment of kayley, to find the bottom line issues. I am requesting that we have Dr. **** come out again to conduct a Functional Behavioral Assessment for the full time that she needs to get an a cruet assessment of Kayley and can come up with a positive behavior plan that best fits her needs and if she is capable to be in regular class or if she does need to be in special ed for the full time.

gamommaof239125.4383680556I think it sounds good...you're not blaming the dr for not spending more time...but you are stating that she needs more time to come up with a functional behavior plan.

Thank you both for your input. Just want to make it sound good so it would be in favor of getting the Dr. to come back out. Please keep your fingers crossed.

Wray thank you for your input also I will head your advice and take out the part of seeing if she is capable of being put in regular or specail ed.

If I were you I wouldn't put the part about seeing if she should be in regular ed vs. special ed.  They might see this as the opportunity to go ahead and put her in sp ed without the proper assessments being done.  Let me say that another way, they will probably get it done, but I can bet you anything that whatever happens or is said, it will favor her going in the sp ed room.  I would leave just like you have it without that part.  That is just my opinion.  You know more about the situation than what we can get from your posts.  That's just a suggestion.

Also, give them a deadline for getting in touch with you to let you know they have contacted this person.
