Great news! You need all the support you can get:) It was so intimidating for me but I had our consultant therapist with me so it helped:) Congratulations!Hi everyone, I've been working lots of hrs and Ethans behavior has been really off. I haven't had time to post for a while, but I have been reading along, (From emotions to advocay) and working with birth to 3 therapists on goals for our meeting next week. Anyway, one of my best friends is a retired teacher where my kids go to school. She called yesterday and told me she mentioned my upcoming meeting and my nervousness about it to my middle sons teacher. Well, my middle sons teacher said her hubby is the director of spec ed in a neighboring district and he would love to come to the meeting and stick with me, be my resource person, advocate. I can't believe how lucky I am. I'm so excited. The meeting is on Tue 13th. I'll let everyone know how it goes. I also found out I can get private st and ot through the Integrated Developmental Services here in Madion. They are one of the autism therapy places. His MA will cover quite a bit, which I didn't know. I thougt I had to wait and recieve the waiver. So, either way we will be covered. Had to share my really great news!THAT IS AWESOME! Support is always good at those meetings. They can try to rush you and make sure you write down your concerns and points b/c they always make me try to hurry my points around...I have since become a veteran at these. GOOD LUCK!
