Vitamin/Mineral Powder | Autism PDD

You have many options for good multi vitamins. We use to spend a lot of money on the more popular expensive powders but the same companies also make affordable alternatives. Kirkman's makes a childrens multi chewable. There is also a vitamin called Yummi Bears at the health food store. I sometimes think that some of the kids need a high dose multi vitamin to begin with but that it is over rated and over used for long term. Once the body is balanced it may be good to change to a recommended dosage for children. Kirkman's sells their vitamins in sample packets so that you can use them as a sample before purchasing an entire pack. I read on the autism for sale yahoo group that someone is selling a brand new bottle of spectrum complete. We have been using Spectrum Complete for the last 6 months.
I end up giving it to my son every other day, alternating with his
regular vitamin, just because it is a major pain to get him to take
it mixed with juice. I don't think it has resulted in a noticeable
difference, but that's not what we were aiming for anyway. It has
a higher dosage of B12 and B6 and zinc/magnesium which i thought
was better than a regular vitamin. I agree with spainbound that you
should try a sample first. I wish I'd done that, in hindsight a liquid
form might have been better for my son.

Would you mind sharing why you stopped seeing Dr. Neubrander?  If you don't want to post your answer, please fell free to PM me.  We just started with his office in December.I was just wondering what multi vitamin powder everyone uses or have used in the past that they liked and saw good results with.
We used to use Dr. N's Vitamin Powder (through Dr. Neubrander) but now we stopped seeing him. Our new DAN Dr. recommended we use ASD Vitamin & Mineral Powder from Lee Silsby Pharmaceuticals. It is good, but doesn't have any Amino Acids in it. I looked around online and thought maybe we would try Spectrum Complete from Kirkman's next time. Unless someone recommends something better.
We have to do a powder or liquid supplement we can add to my son's juice. He is too little to take pills still. (he's only 2 1/2)
Thanks for any input!

Our new product, Pro, has amino acids in it
