Residential Program in CA, WA, OR | Autism PDD

Aloha from Hawaii. My name is Sandie and I'm new to this forum.

I am looking for a residential program for my 9 yr old son. Since we do live in Hawaii we would like to try and stay on the West Coast if that is possible. M is non verbal, and has behavioral issues that the Dept of Education is not able to under controll at school. His after school services have been cut - so no community access for him. He is taught in isolation - he doesn't go to recess, walk in the hall, lunch or anything at the same time as other children. M hit a student a school and the parents have filed police charges. In fact, while out with his aide he hit an adult and they also wanted to press charges. Our life is crazy and I want it to stop.

If you have any names of residential programs that we could check out I would really appreciate any assistance people may have.

The services in Hawaii are not meeting his needs. In fact, we are going through due process right now.

I my dream for my son is to get him the services he needs now instead of when he is an adult. I want my son to be a functioning and contributing member of our society.
