I hope I am not jinxing myself but..................drum roll.................... we found a sippy DD will except and not throw across the room at us.

She even went sort of cold turkey. lol last bottle was Friday night at bedtime.

But I have to call it her BOTTLE seems the sound of sippy is a stresser but I do what I can.

Well i have been todl abotu the straw thing and poo poo on them. At least i got her off the bottle. She was so emotionally attached to the bottle, it was her calming thing bottle blanket and stuffed piggle. We got her to take a cup by goign to a avent cup very much like a bottle. Bad mom she still takes and avent cup of milk to bed with her. She eventualy went to a normal type sippy, now she is super attached to those and with the valves in them today she lays down with blanket and piggle.. I know bad mom, but she is my last child and with all she goes through if the cup blanket and pig calm her soo be it. Darn the OT to and the straw to heck..

LOL the s/t would have loved me LOL...my Nicholas drank from strickly a bubba until he turned 4 and then by the grace of God, because my efforts of every single sippy, straw and other contraptions didn't work...he finally drank from a polands springs bottle (sports bottle) and now he drinks from a reg. cup occasionally too...I am taking his progress in total stride...I'm w/ you susan! : )

big hig fives!!!

Be/c of Luke's serious ear infections from 1-2 yrs old, very angry warnings from the doctor, and polite suggestions by the ST, I finally took a stand against sippy cups!  It took a total of 2&1/2 hours of Luke SCREAMING at me and throwing his straw-cup at me, hitting me (resulting in a time out ... much needed for BOTH of us!), demanding his sippy instead .... but after that, he has been sippy-cup free and will only drink from straw-cups!  Now if only I could get him to drink from a REGULAR cup!
