feel a little shell shocked | Autism PDD

You just babble away anytime! Lord KNOWS I do!! We're here to "listen" ...that's what friends DO!

I know, I get all teary eyed when thinking who will take care of Tony (9 y/o hfa) & my oldest Daughter Sharon (24 y/o schizophrenic...bi polar...ptsd...just to name a few of her diagnosis).

I'm pretty sure my middle child ("step"Daughter) Nikki (16y/o) will be taking care of BOTH of them if they don't find someone in life to marry. I feel sorry for Nikki when I think of the burden that placing Sharon on her would be...Tony isn't very much trouble at all...unless HE starts showing signs of having schizophrenia as well as being autistic...UGH...I shudder when I think of all that kid could inherit from MY side of the Family alone!!

LINDA...aka MWN64...aka Tony'sMom

i know that it isnt autism related but im normally so strong because i know what im doing with autism etc and this is new i feel very tearfull and low and needed to talk . thanks for listening to my babble xxxx

Naomi,

Please keep us updated. I am sorry to hear of his vision problem and hope they can help Ryan.

I sometimes feel like I have gotten off the subject of the board with my posts about Jared my son with ODD and behavioral problems but I always feel the love and sympathy here.

I hope you find the answers for Ryan and wether there autisim related or not please let know. All these children have a place in our hearts.

WOW Shakes you need to write inspirational phrases on here everyday! THAT was awesome!!!!

Naomi, There isnt anything more I could say that Shakes hasn't just said. But I wanted to say we're here for you so lean on us as much as you need. I can only imagine how hard it has to be to go through this but never say never. You will learn this new eye thing and be as strong as you are with the ASD.

Good Luck and Hang in There

That's what is great about this board. We can share our ups AND downs and share our concerns about the WHOLE family. Even if something doesn't necessarily pertain to autism, it is accepted here because we are still parents of children with autism that ALSO have these other problems. It's just comforting to know there are other people in the same boat sometimes. I know you'll regain your strength Naomi, we all need time to re-energize though. It definitely doesn't make you a weak person...just means your human. Take some time for yourself and then you'll be stronger for your sons.
