Preparing for April’s IEP meeting | Autism PDD

The documents you presented them with are in his permanent file.  HOwever, it helps if you keep your own chronological 3-ring binder of all the important documents and bring that with you to the IEP meeting, including all previous IEP's (since he's young, he won't have too many at this point).  The MEDICAL dx is not even necessary for school intervention. What IS necessary is to show that his disability affects his ability to get an appropriate education.  That means that the school should be testing his PRESENT levels of performance to know where he is now so they'll know what to do to bring him forward in the coming year.  Insist that they let you know what testing they're doing on him and ask that you get ALL the written reports 5 business days before the actual annual meeting.Anthony's next IEP meeting will be in April.  We presented them with all of the documents with his dx at his first IEP last April.  Will those documents still be ok for the next IEP meeting?  Can I present the same documents?  Do they only need new documenation if his dx changes?  I'll be prepared with copies, just wondering what you think?  Thanks Tzoya.
