me very sad. It is a shame that you have to go through this.
I am in New Jersey and had my son evaluted by two different dev peds. At the time of his initial eval they rated him at a nine month level.
At a nine month level found him eligible for 2x15 speech and 2x15 OT.
Now for a three year old functioning at a nine month level how can that be sufficient??? It all comes down to money.
I pushed and fought and now he is in an ood school getting the help he needs. It is unfortunate but only the parents that push get what our child needs.
I find it so hard to believe that a team who spends maybe an hour or two with your child seem to think they know what is best.
As a parent who took our school district to mediation i do advise to ask for everything in writing. make sure you put how long you want to give them to respond to your requests.
I would also ask for an independant eval for your son at the expense of the school district.
I feel you pain.

I'm sure I've seen thin post on another thread, accident maybe? ALNRAF- I think i might have missed something. In your post it sounds as if you are talking directly to someone about their situation, but it does not specify. Are you speaking to parents in general or to someone specifically about their child's interventions?
