Mental Ilness often begins in childhood | Autism PDD

Tammy maybe Im wrong but I would think Autism was excluded because it is NOT a mental Illness rather a neurological disorder....  as I said maybe Im wrong... just a thought

Yeah but I would assume there can be a degree of mental illness under autism but schizophrenia?  Isn't that a mental illness?

Okay just saw this report over on msnbc.com on mental illness.  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8119644/

In the story it stated that thru a study they noticed that mental illness can begin as early as 14 years old.  But it excluded schizophrenia and autism.  My question is why was autism excluded?

P.S. Just noticed I mispelled illness
Strange that they wouldn't include schizophrenia though. :/  Maybe what they're saying is that schizophrenia and autism both start before 14 y/o?
