My name is Channing. I am a 35 years old adult female with the Aspergers kind of autism I have some questions my questions are:
1. I have a major concern I am haveing a hard time with finding places to live because of the fact I have the Aspergers kind of autism it seems like everytime I look at group homes like in a DDA group home the people in the DDA group home are a lot lower functioning than me the people in the group home do not have a job and go to a day program- I do not want to live in an apartment because I
1. Do not know how to cook- I need help with cooking
2. Need help with transportation
3. Need activities to do like being able to go on a trip, being able to go to the movies, being able to go Swimming, being able to go bowling, and being able to get some exercise
4. Need adult people to talk to at all times
5. Do not want to be totally unsupervised 24 hours a day
What am I going to do about liveing because My parents are in their 60s My mom is 65 years old my dad is 69 years old My parents are not going to live forever and I do not want to become a ward of the state of North Carolina where I live?
2. I would like to meet some Adults that have the Aspergers kind of Autism where I live in North Carolina is there any way I can meet some Adults that have the Aspergers kind of where I live?
3. Has anyone ever thought of getting a group home for All Adult people with Aspergers kind of Autism in North Carolina where I live?
