Well,
I would love to come... finally something going on in Wisconsin.... but appleton is a 2 1/2-3 hour drive for us.... with Zach and a new baby I just don't see that as do-able. Thanks for the info though.... I hope it is a nice turn out.
That's really too bad that it's so far away for you! I'm not sure which part of the state you're in, but we do have regular conferences around WI, MN and IL too. Our fall conferences will have more info soon- MN in November, Chicago in October, and Eau Claire, WI in September. The link to our site is below.
By the way, if lack of money ever stands between you getting to a conference, make sure to let us know. We'll work something out. The same goes for all parents or relatives of children on the spectrum. Nothing is more important than education in a family affected by ASD!
Thanks!

Silly question but surely you are not having a picnic outside in Minnesota in the month of November?
Tammy
Now Tammy; maybe its a sledding or ice skating event!Tammy
*laughs* maybe if Chris is working by then we could make a trip to MN and we could come harrass Tammy some.
I actually can see us making the one in Chicago that isn't that far... Just to give you some IDEA where we live in the state.... It's in between Chicago and Milwaukee *smiles*
Hey I heard on kfan, the all sports radio station here, that it only takes you two hours to drive from Minneapolis to Chicago. Not that I am ready to try that out anytime soon here, lol
Tammy
Hmmm that is interesting because Chicago is an Hour and half south of me. And actually to update.... Chris and I are going to try and go to the picnik in Appleton... The baby will be here by then and I looked online ... it really is only about 2 hours from here. We decided that we are going to go up on Saturday to Osh Kosh which is where my sister lives, stay in a hotel there, everyone (meaning my parents and sister) is splitting the cost with us to help with the money, and then go to the gathering in Appleton the next day.... Appleton is like 30 minutes from Osh Kosh. *smiles* it will be a nice lil' mini vacation for our family which is in bad need of one with everything that has been going on.
The reason for this change in heart is well Chris said we needed a break... and because Eau Claire is 10 hours away... and other "chicago" conference which is really in Springfield *laughs* is 4 hrs and 30 min.
It was on the news here that it was cheaper to drive the two hour trip to Chicago and take a flight out of Chicago than to take one out of the twin Cities.
Tammy
Hi Sarah-
We're so glad you and your family can make it to the picnic! It will be very fun- we'll have so much to do. The park shelter is right next to a huge new playground. There will be face painting, bingo, active games, a treasure hunt, and I believe Tom Pease will be coming as well. He's a great children's entertainer- kind of like Raffi. You'll have a great time!
Thanks so much-
Jessica
What a great event. I would love somthing like this. Does anyone know where I could find out if there is something like this in Massachusetts?
Thank you,
Ang
