Change to speech therapy schedule | Autism PDD

I have never had a choice as to which letter day my son has his therapy.  It is dependent on his class schedule and the speech therapists schedule.  Is there a particular reason an A day is better than an E day?  I don't think you have any grounds in the IEP to request specific days for treatment.  Just if the amount of treatment is not being done. The IEP is based on your son's NEED.  If there is a good reason you are requesting this and it helps with one of your son's NEEDS, you might be able to get the time changed.  If you feel comfortable elaborating here, perhaps we can all help come up with good recommendations. PWN is really about refusing to give or proposing to give something NEW, not about a scheduling issue.  The refusal or proposal has to be substantive, not simply a change in procedure.  And most SD's write such vague PWN's, if you can get them to write them at all, that you it's not worth fighting over.   However, I would NEVER ask for anything again unless I asked IN WRITING.  You can put in your letter "Please respond in writing.  If I don't get a letter I will assume you are in agreement."  That's FORCING them to write back, creating a sort of PWN, which a HEaring Officer will take as seriously as PWN.  Perhaps moreso because it will show that the DIstrict didn't comply with the PWN rule. However, PWN does not apply here.I asked the speech therapist to move one speech pull out session from an e day to an a day.  She agreed, but the superintendent and principal decided that this was not going to work.  I requested a written statement with the reason for their refusal to implement the changes, but the response was that the speech therapist does not have to provide me with a written explanation.  The principal/CSE chairperson decided she will write a statement, which I am yet to receive.  Is is appropriate to request a Written Prior Notification in this case?  Thank you in advance for any input.
