Prism Lenses? | Autism PDD

Share

I am not sure if I am qualified to give an answer, but I am a developmental optometrist.. I have used prism therapy and yoked prisms in the past in various treatment programs.  Vision therapy works..I do know that, but I have never used it with autistic children and in conjunction with toe walking.  Most therapy programs will work many aspects of the visual system. Insurance almost NEVER pays for V.T. and it can be hard to find good therapist. Your average optometrist does not do this, but you can ask if they know anyone who does.

Good Luck, Renee

Has anybody tried the prism lenses mentioned by Ms Steelersfan in this thread?

This concept sounds very interesting, but wondering if there is success for any of you?

Thank you!
