GREAT PICK UP!!! AND GREAT WAY TO STICK TO YOUR GUNS AND ADVOCATE FOR LEVI!!! WONDERFUL JOB!!!

I dont hesitate I listen to my gut... if Tyler is acting different and I think its possible he is sick... I call the dr and explain he is autistic... can't always express to me he isnt feeling well and I'd like illness ruled out due to different behaviors.... there has only been a very very few times it was nothing and on 1 occassion a strept test was negative but 2 days later we went back with a fever and it was positive. Go Figure!

I always wonder about that. Thank goodness Megan has never gotten anything like that that the signs werent obvious. Cause she surely coudlnt tell me either. Now if the sickness were a color or a character form blues clues well she coudl tell me lol

Good for you Mommy, Your son is lucky to have you!

The last couple of weeks all my children had strep throat. Interesting note: Levi, my 28 month old, did not show signs of it, but he could not sleep at all.

I requested that doctor test him for strep too. They did not see the purpose since he had no symptoms. I insisted, explaining to them what I have learned on this board and a couple of sites I have read...that Levi cannot accurately express his pain to me.

They ran the strep test on him just to pacify me and checked his throat. Lo and behold...Levi had a raw throat and a strep infection.

I bet the doctor will never forget this lesson. They commended me on being a very smart mommy. I commend all of you for sharing so much of your lives that I am able to have this insight and boldness for Levi.

Your son is very lucky to have a Mommy as smart and persistent as you!
