I need some real advise because I just don't know what to do anymore. My son is constantly being teased in the self-contained classroom where he is for part of the day. The only thing is, he's fighting back...literally. He has no qualms about punching a kid that teases him on his back or pulling him down to the ground, or whatever! I've spoken to him and the autism site coach has spoken to him...I just don't know. I requested an FBA in August...still haven't seen it or signed anything...NOTHING! I've asked for a copy before and they said they had to make the final touches and then send me a copy. I'm getting ready to call today.

Did you request the FBA in writing? If you didn't, you didn't request an FBA. If something is not in writing it wasn't said. That means EVERYTHING has to be in writing. Check out the link I included about FBA's on the Parent thread. Also, search Gebser on this site and you'll see what I've posted about school harassment. YOu have a right to be concerned and should address this immediately. YOu may want to consider consulting with a professional advocate or lawyer about all this. Your instincts are right. Your SON will be the one punished if you don't get the school to be more effective in their techniques.
