Last year my sons Reg. Math Teacher said son was lazy and didn't want to do the work, Resource Teacher called and asked if son could do Math in resource room with her, he already goes there for all lang. based subjects. said son was way behind in Math he was in Fourth grade. I said yes because he would not perform for Reg. Teacher. So son was kept in resource for Math the rest of the year. At sons conference this year I ask resource Teacher how far behind in Math was my son? She said good question, and said she would do testing and get back with me. Testing results. Caculated Math 4.9 grade average, Math facts 3.3 grade level, she said he knows facts, but it took him so long to get it on paper she thinks this should be higher, Applied Math (story problems) 7.8 grade level. Should he be in resource room for Math? He has severe fine motor skill problems. I know he can't take notes in reg. classroom, but will him being in resource room hold him back in Math? They said he dosen't quifily for Aid. He is an Aspie in the fifth grade. Also we only worked on Math facts this summer, we did no work on Applied Math, Whats up with this? He had bad Math scores in 3rd grade because he would not show work on paper. Should I leave him where he is at for Math?  bumping
