Jonah looks like an adorable "normal" little boy. My boys are identical twins, yet Jonah makes lots of faces that Noah doesn't. It's hard to explain. We call them old man faces. When he does it, he really does look like an old man. He doesn't seem to do it as a response to anything, just out of the blue. He wrinkles his face all up, and looks very super serious and old. I wish I could catch it in a photograph, but Jonah avoids looking at cameras, and would never do it for a camera, and I doubt I will ever happen to catch it. Anyway, Maybe some of you know what I am talking about? If there's anything I HAVE learned about autism, it's that all these weird little tendencies add up, and we think only our kids do them, because they seem unrelated to autism in and of itself, but it seems like a LOT of kids have all the same little quirks.
Yah it's hard because I know all kids can make faces. Ds has done faces before for no reason where he raises his eyebrows way up and his eyes get big. Ive sometimes put my rear view mirror pointing on Aiden rather than the road behind me lol. I do it to watch him when he thinks I'm not while driving, as he's usually quite quiet. He makes funny faces at times. I've seen him open is mouth really wide too. I dont know if they are anything or not though so i never really recorded them in my documentations and on online tests I answered no to the strange facial expressions question. I guess I just never thought what he did was odd, but I guess it is a little strange when I think about it. Oh the confusion hole deepens.
