This website provides some good detailed info about the role of probiotics: http://www.customprobiotics.com/about_probiotics_a.htm
Probiotics is good in various issues such as controling bad bacteria, parasites and even yeast overgrowth. Yeast overgrowth is one of the causes of 'leaky gut' syndrome (see the following site) http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionleakygut.htm You can also look into using digestive enzymes as well (same website).
Does anyone know anything about them? My DD is on the GF/CF diet and it was recommended to me to put her on probiotics. I've done some research online but its all so confusing to me. Can anyone put this in leyman's terms for me and/or tell me where I can get some. Thanks! As far as I know probiotics just means the good, healthy bacteria that lives in the human digestive system and aids in effective digestion and absorbtion of beneficial things in the food we eat.
