i am new in this forum ..i recently hv got masters degree in speech and language pathology from university of karachi, but for the past 3 years i hv been working with the kids with autsim following catherine muarice manual....i hv seen very positive results duirng my teaching periods....for the development of receptive language i use 10 times or more instruction for each item...and one of my student started response for only one time instruction...his responses give me motivation for further work...my all three student age range from 4 to 8 are non verbal with different cognitive levels...their parents say that at the age of 18months to 2years of age their children verbalized many words but slowly they hv got regressed...and they are hopeful about their children prognosis that these kids going to speak again bcoz they were verbalized....how much their hopes are true only God knows ..and i also pray for these lovely and my beloved students...but i want to ask is this myth is true?....i need some feedback from all of u ...
