My ds grandparents have no access. They want to see him but refuse to call (because they do not want to talk to me, I'm that horrible
Be careful doing the crt thing! I had sole custody with dad having reasonable access and it went to one weekend a month.
Be careful with driving too. Where I am, it sets a precedent.
Be careful, if you are going for crt ordered visits, why are you letting them see him now! Crt will give lots of access due to them seeing each other alot. Grandparents can say it is reasonable and partly expected that thier son is there and in essence he is getting access already.
Be careful that if you are using the PDD (needs routine, ect) because you are not doing anything right now... like saying you have to stay with him... by allowing unsupervised, you are showing you do not mind him having access... the actions you are taking now will not lessen by going to crt!!!! The crt will not order less than what is currently going on typically!!!!
Cyndie I agree with panthosette.... thats why I mentioned not allowing anything more than what is currently court ordered and re evaluating your relationship with the grandparents allowing them acess to Christian whenever they wish. You have to get strong and stand up for Christian! If the grandparents aren't concerned about something being potentially bad for Christian are they who you want caring for him?
BE CAREFUL because its hard for the courts to see why its such a problem today when it wasn't a problem 2 months ago.... what was the significant change? The father came home from jail.... The courts will see it as heres mom jealous of dad's new girlfriend and shes usin gthe kid to do it. Cyndie Im not sayin gthats what you are doing... Im saying its what the courts will see! And if you continue to allow Christian to go to the grandparents with the father home and seeing him there,... Im sorry but the courts will laugh at you (so to speak) It is soooooo hard to get anywhere with the courts.... they just simply do not care.

do you have children's lawyers down there?? The lawyer I worked for was appointed by court to represent children, if possible that may be another avenue.
Children's lawyer looks at child's best interest *not* the interest of the parents... and has to follow child's wishes.
Might have to be careful with your ds liking his dad but the criterea surrounding the children's lawyer might be different for you. If nothing else, another avenue to explore. You would still need a lawyer for you and your interests. Ask your lawyer about this and crt may be able to appoint a independant.
Good luck Cyndie. I know with my sister, she cut off all ties with the kids dad. Her son had major behaviour issues after being around his dad. But since he hasn't been around the dad for a few years now, this kid is like a totally different person. At one time he was diagnosed with ODD. It also helped that the dad was way behind in child support payments. Oh yeah, and something about the cops didn't like him. Good luck!!! You got my email if you feel like venting.

hey all..actually today i emailed a lawyer who speciality is CUSTODY/SPECIAL NEEDS FOR CHILDREN n if she or anyone she knows can help..his casewrkr was here through the mh dept ..been workin w/them awhile now...he said its gonna b good because its whats in the best interest of child...HERE ITS BIGG ISSUE THE JUDGES HERE ESPECIALLY IF THE DAD has record or history of drug use includin the g/f..which i have proof she not reallty likes my son..its all a front...SHE HAS CALLED HIM A RETARD I HV DOCUMENTED, IF HE HAD A SEIZURE SHED LET HIM LAY THERE N DIE9I HV DOC.) CALENDARS FROM 2002,2003,2004 DATES HE NEVER SHOWE UP OR WAS MESSED UP.. HE CANT JUST SEE HIM NOW B/C MOMMYS HOME N WHEN SHE LEAVES FOR GREECE he'll b w/the g/f whose still using..we all KNOW OTHER FAM. MEMBERS B/C PEOPLE KNOW AROUND HERE..DOM. RELATIONS HAS ALL HIS RECORDS OF NO SHOWS N HES ON PROBATION..SO BASICALLY IM NOT GONNA LET DADDY SCREW UP EVERYTHING CHRISTIANS WRKD SO HARD N FAR FOR..IN MY AREA THESE R STRICT JUDGES..BUT SINCE HIS MOMMY N DADDY GOT MONEY THEY THINK THEY OWN THE WORLD..the people who work w/son r on my side..n he has no drivers license..whatever proof ill need i will have..the 2 of them are just unfit..hes kool w/granparents..n by end of this wk theyll all know stacy(g/f) is still doin heroin n other stuff too.but its not comin from my mouth..alex needs to b on set schedule to c christian n a judge last yr. did just that.."u miss 2 visits, ur done seeing your child" only in supervision now..his casewrkr was at tht hearing..they dont play around here.. n christian was mean to his fav. casewrkr today which thts unusual..n ALEX LOOKS NOW LIKE BIN LADEN...OMG!!!LOL..HIS BIG,OLE GOATEE..CHRISTIAN SAYS MOMMY I PULLED REALLY HARD ON HIS BEARD..LOL..THANKS ALL..
