Thanks! Remy, you can also contact the Autism Society of Ohio. They are located in
Akron. They are the Ohio chapter for the ASA. www.autismohio.orgmomtowill39020.4281712963I am also looking into starting an awareness group in my area! I just emailed my local chapter of the ASA (Autism Society of America) to see what programs they have in place already. I would really like to start an education program for students in public schools. I know the first time I really learned about Autism was when I started college! I think younger children should really be exposed to it as well. Keep me updated if you find out any information and I'll send what I find your way!
I am in Tuscarawas , Ohio area. Same here. My son is ten. Do you have a local autism society? they might be able to help get you started. Our support group uses, ACT (Autism Comunity Together) to get it's information. They have a web site. I'll try to find it for ya, I really like my support group. Or maybe a Hospital in your area could find you some resources. Good Luck!
