Congratulations !!!What wonderful news!!! My son has done very well with ABA
Yay!! For the two of you!!
I have to chine in here and say that the work we do with my son is
based largely on an ABA foundation and while 'milage may vary,' even as
he is a LFA adult we've seen some pretty amazing results and in a
relatively short period of time.
Congratulations
With Love and Blessings,
Theda
[QUOTE=kaviar]YAY!!!!! OWen is in ABA now, but we are paying for it
They are doing this extra assessment to cull the waitlist, because it is so long, and people are upset, they have kicked off children who really need the service, So as you can imagine I have been on pins and needles waiting for this letter Owen has been DEEMED ELIGIBLE WOO HOOO
I can't tell you just how happy I am. He still has to be on the waitlist..but at least SOMEDAY the government will pay for his service. could be 1 year could be 3..I hope sooner then later! Ohhh that is great Danielle, Our Government assistance for therapy is the Autistic Disablity waiver program and it has a wait list too... sucks because without the waiver we can't get zach therapy. So happy for you and owen.
Keep up the great work! Congradulations Danielle & Owen!
Also happy to hear that it is helping.
Nelle
I couldn't be happier for you!!!!
We found out today from a close friend that ABA is the absolute best training for a child with PDD (her dh is the head of a pediatrics dept of an Atlanta hospital, she is a nurse practitioner and in charge of a NICU unit, and their son was dx'd with PDD about 3 yrs ago). So I talked to my dh about it and it looks like whatever it takes, we're going to pursue ABA as well. AND we have to move out of this God-forsaken state to a place where the schools will actually cover the training!!
