Parent support group Bronx N.Y. | Autism PDD

Just wanted to mention to forum users from Bronx N.Y. that there is a support group in the Bronx called Parents of A.N.G.E.L.S. We are located at 1968 Eastchester Road (C/O Wilkinson ave). At the meeting we feature a speaker who is a professional in the autism community. The goal is to give parents the education and resources they need to rear a child with autism. This month’s speaker is Kalimah Karim from Home care. She will speak about child care for special need children and ways to fund it.

For all the Parents and Caregivers in the Bronx

The next Meeting of Parents of A.N.G.E.L.S. is November 19, 2006. The speakers will be Amy Conforti, a Board certified Behavioral Specialist and Director of ABA at Theracare in the Bronx along with Tricia Reedy, an ABA Teacher and T.S.H.H. They will talk about Skinners version of Verbal Behavior. The meeting is at 1968 eastchester RD (C/O Wilkinson ave) and starts at 7:00 PM.

Theracare last spoke to our parents many times during the 2004/2005 season. We welcome the valuable information that they have always given our parents.
