Most of us are SO involved in the day to day issues our children present that we don't THINK of how it affects society.  If you have a list of questions you want to post for us to answer, you may get more feedback. One effect it should have on society is the biomedical effects of toxins and excessive metals in our daily enivornments.

Now I know its a topic of some debate. But it is my belief that vaccines, the absorbtion of high quantity of metals through other environmental means (water, foods, etc.), and genetic disposition all play important roles.

our daughter who was developing normally, and speaking, got her immunizations, went to the ER that VERY DAY with 105 fever, and was left untreated overnight by the ER. Within months her development not only stopped but she actually regressed.

Now all of her metal levels are through the roof.

I'm not saying vaccines are bad (though my wife adamantly will), but I do believe their is a significant enough relationship to warrant action.actually, while tzoya is right in that were so busy dealing with day to day issue related specifically to our child that society effects come second, is true, but for my wife and me we think about it often.

I could go on and on about this topic. If you email so some specifics about what you need, I will gladly go into detail with you over the weekend.

There are tons of things that society needs to know and work toward for its own benefit and the benefit of those who suffer from autism.

I am a college student, and writing a 10 page paper about Autism. Ive done alot of research on this and its effect on children and their parents. One of the many questions I need answered in my paper is what effect it has on society, I tried finding answers to this and thinking of them myself, but I wasnt sure how to answer. The only thing I could think of was to ask the people who know autism the best.  If your willing to help any ideas would be great, otherwise thank you for your time.
