Observations | Autism PDD

My boys don't take any meds, but they both get like that, and I do as well. Looking back, I am sure i would have been diagnosed on the spectrum, so maybe that has something to do with it. but my boys get like that quite a lot. i just thought they got it from me! i will lay in bed so exhausted, but i can't stop moving. i even went to the Doc to see if it could be that restless leg syndrome (I think that is what it is called) and he laughed at me. He said he had never heard of anyone healthy at my age with that problem!

So, I don't know what to tell you, except maybe a little benadryl?

When my kids get off schedule really bad with their sleep, I have to admit, I'll give them a half dose, and it knocks them right out, and then they get back on schedule!

Tammy Tyler does that! I notice it when hes been given his bedtime meds but theres so much stimuli going on that he gets mabe emotionally wound up but the meds are making him tired. I have watched him lay there in bed eyes droopin gbut the restlessness of tossing and turning which then ends up with a meltdown and more frustrations! Its a night mare!.

Im not dure what his neds are for (Im guessing behavior?) so Im not sure what they are intended to do. Maybe he is tired from not sleeping well but wound up from the sudden going off meds change?

As far as meds, lol, he has sleep meds, and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. And this kid is quite healthy.

After the school sent Gabe home today because he wasn't able to take one of his meds, and was very aggressive and fighting at school, I noticed some weird things with him. I have never seen a kid look hyper and sleepy at the same time. Anyone else observe this in their kids? Feedback please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Gabe is immune to benydrl, don't work on him anymore. He was on that when he was younger.

Not only that but you have to be careful of OTC meds when they are on this stuff... Tyler cant take any cold meds with his daily meds its one or the other. I know for Tyler DEEP PRESSURE MASSAGE has worked wonders for his being wrestless when he sleeps

I know with Gabe he is on claritin, along with several other meds and that is right, you do have to be careful with certain OTC meds.

P.S. Deep massaging won't work either, he is too ticklish, lol
