My doctor seems to think that zeolite only works on about 5-10% of the ASD population so I would be keen to see what some percentages are in reality. My dr claims this was what came out in the last MINDD forum in Sydney so am interested in what others may have said, particularly any Australians whose doctors may have reported back to them.

We are planning a modified protocol using some sort of zeolite using Sichel protocol. http://www.adhd-specialist.com/ I have found my son doesn't cope with chlorella capsules or glutathione cream- hurts his tummy so I am steering clear of DMSA and ALA and the like at the moment so will do the detox drops, coriander and footsies apporach of Sichel.

My son has been on acyclovir for a year now. I think it has helped as part of the overall diet and supplement thing.

Out of 43 patients at our practice using Zeolite for 8 weeks and Zeolite being the ONLY treatment change, following the dosing protocol found on the AutismNCD site, we had 9 positive responses and 2 negative. The rest were no change.

Note: 43 is too small a number for significance but it was enough to show trends.

Interesting feedback.  It's wonderful to hear that doctors are actually considering NCD as an option.  9 out of 43 is over 20%, much greater than 5-10% (keeping in mind that 43 is not a large sample).

rlneub - Where is your practice?  Are these patients part of the national Autism-NCD study?  Were your numbers from a 3 month trial?

Melissa - DD has been on Threelac regularly for yeast.  She recently started another probiotic and S. B. (I won't attempt the spelling) because she's currently on a round of antibiotics for a ruptured eardrum (from an infection I didn't know she had :(  ).  I know I'll have to be on guard for yeast flare.  I also recently started her on ALA in conjunction with NCD.  I feel pretty good knowing that NCD will clean up after the ALA.

Practice is in Edison NJ

James A. Neubrander, MD

Did our own observations, not part of the Waoria study.

6 months on NCD.

No change at all in Metal excretions. But seems to have some antiviral properties.

Antiviral properties would be a good thing since our ASD kids seem to have viral issues.  But what do you think of the fact that Michael Lang was promoting zeolite as one of his preferred chelators?  He listed a protocol on his Brainchild website that I read a few days ago that specifically included/promoted the use of zeolite. Surely he was a respected member of the think tank.  Could he have been wrong about zeolite's chelating abilities?

Has your practice/doctor in Edison seen improvements with antivirals specifically?  Do you think they need to be accompied by antifungals as suggested by Stan Kurtz?

Also, has anyone heard of TSO?  Or tried it?

I think most people take Waoria's word for it that it is a chelator. All I can say is that the pulls did not change with or without. But for those kids who did respond it is a good intervention. Boyd Haley also did not find it to be a chelator, although his study was test tube oriented rather than clinical.

Yes we do see progress with antiviral protocols for a subset of these kids. For some it can be the treatment that maks the biggest difference. But the antiviral protocols effectivness is still behind mb12, hbot, diet, antifungals, chelation. Those protocols still seem to get the highest response rate.
