gave first dose this morn, doc said if it's sedating give it at night, well he is asleep.

should i give it tonight or tom. night, so worried about monday morning and how school is going to handle side effects that will hopefully go away.

I would give it to him in the morning. That way you have at least one day to see if there is an allergic reaction and you can send a note with him to school on Monday or call the teacher and just ask her to watch him for any side effects. I usually just tell them we are trying a new medication and to watch for anything unusual such as sleepiness or irritability. Strattera is also a non-stimulant and may take a few weeks to build up in his system, so if he is taking it for ADHD, he may be a little wiggly the first few days.

Then, if he acts sleepy, you can always switch to a night dose.
