Hello All:

My name is Samantha Gregus and I am a student at The University of Akron working on my Senior Honors Thesis. I am conducting a study examining the role of online social support networks in the lives of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The goal of this study is to contribute to a line of research aimed at helping parents cope, place less demand on their selves, and increase their well-being.

In order to participate, you must be a parent or legal guardian (18 years or older) of a child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. You will be asked to fill out a survey on topics such as social support and the stress you experience as a parent. It will take about 15 minutes to complete. In exchange for your time, all participants will be entered into a drawing for one of three $50 VISA gift cards. At the end of the survey, you will be directed to a separate page asking for contact information in order to be entered into the raffle.  Your survey answers will be kept completely anonymous and any personal information will be discarded after the raffle is complete.
