Hi, Looking for some information about Social Groups for kids ages 11-15 (and maybe older) for kids that have limited verbal skills. Does anything out there exist? Is there curriculum available and where could a person purchase this?

Or if there is a established, successful group meeting in the Northern Illinois, or Southern Wisconsin meeting please pm me with more information!  I have been told there is nothing available in my area. There are Social Groups for Aspies, but not for limited verbal kids.

Any helpful info would be great!

Thanks,
momof3kidz

Have you tried contacting the Wisconsin Early Autsim Program to see if they
have anything for older kids, or a group for parents that have aged out? I
know the WEAP works with kids who are nonverbal, so they might have
something. There is a center in Milwaukee, they might have some
information. Best I can do as I was from about an hour from Milwaukee.

http://ids-wi.com/services.html  Integrated developmental services  in Madison has social skills groups for all age kids. A lot of teen groups as well. I think WEAP in does too.  If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
