HAHA- I had multiple escorts to walk me to my car...a lot people were concerned for my well being at that point. She showed up at an event that I was at...I should clarify that it wasn't at my house nor was she un-invited as it turns out. Her son was there...he seems nice, but how would I know what's in his heart. I told dh that I will NEVER be left in a room with her alone if in the Lodge's best interest. I would have loved to talk to her if only to make her feel like poor Alex, but she'll get hers in the end. Apparently she's going to begin teaching again soon...but only until her contract expires and then she's not getting renewed.

TPBM - would love to just do the 'eye for an eye' mentality on people who abuse animals or children (anyone really) who can't defend themselves.

Unfortunately no, I still think that the punishment ought to fit the crime.  So I'd go for pulling her credential and ensuring she never teach in any state, ever.  But I do not think that we will get even that.  I still think that parents ought to make some sort of countrywide registration of failed teachers a priority.  We keep sex offenders registered --- which not teaching-offenders?

TPBM has volunteered for political cause and actually seen it help.

False. While I like football, I have no idea what I will be doing tomorrow as I am just trying to go hour by hour right now as I try to figure out whether to go to Illinois or not regarding my dad.

To address dad2luke&alan - I have worked for many political causes. In the past, none have actually passed or been elected - but this was my year! We passed a referendum for our school in our town and I got elected as well. So, while I don't know for sure if it will help - I sure hope so!

TPBM is tired. I am and am going to bed!

Yeah, spaghetti and meatballs, my wife and her family make the best.  They are not big gravy makers in DW's family. My sister had to teach my wife how to make pan gravy.

We do the turkey and all of the other stuff, but I always Deep Fry a few turkeys and turkey breasts to have white meat for sandwiches.

I learned how to do this almost 30 years ago when I lived in SW Louisiana. There ain't no better bird than one that has been swimming in peanut oil.

TPBM has whipped up on the leaves for the last time this year today.
