Definitely so. My kids are scared by the decorations and so it has been difficult the last week or so. Even my older son who is "old enough to know better" but does not understand the enjoying being scared part of Halloween.
TPBM is not looking for the one holiday after another that the next few momths will be.

Yeah, I have to agree with this sad as it may be.
It gets hectic, who goes where, so much traveling and, in my case, coordinating employee vacations everyone hates the boss when I tell people they cannot have certain days because we need coverage.
In addition, BB has found catalogues and now wants EVERYTHING! Last week he wanted "Bakugan" which looks like the new Yu-Gi-Oh and this morning he was pining over GI Joe stuff (where he got the hankering for that I will never know).
TPBM ate too much candy this last holiday! (not me...:)

Not really, I miss the full size candy bars that people used to give out. everyone now gives out the little buggers.
TPBM Remembers having 2 pillow cases full of candy, that lasted past Thanksgiving when they were a kid. Our little guy got bored after 15 houses and wanted to go home.

True - I was one of the old-fashioned that passed out the full-size and still had hardly any trick-or-treaters that really devastated me. I LOVE Halloween.
TPBM is flying with 2 kids for the first time on Christmas Day (like me) I've flown, but my 2 kids haven't and I'm a really crappy traveler.

False- All though we did fly for the first time sine they were babies in August to a wedding. I would suggest taking headphones and lots of activities. It was a long flight and coming home was worse because we were on a puddle jumper vs a full size plane.
TPBM- Is suprised that Christmas is only six weeks away.

EEK! Christmas is only 6 weeks away, that is too close, I demand a recount!
TPBM hasn't even started planning thanksgiving yet.

Yes, chocolate. Chocolate with dark chocolate chunks.
TBPM has a favorite out of the way ice cream place. Botts was my favorite. Long gone.

False. With my diabetes, there is no good ice cream. Except homemade, with cream, no milk (yes, milk actually is THAT carb-y!) ... I am thinking I need to get an ice cream maker!
TPBM has some good ice cream recipes ...
